TNI Personnel Shot Dead; Witness Hears Four Gunshots

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - National Police spokesperson Brig. Gen. Dedi Prasetyo said that four projectiles were found in the location of the shooting against a member of Indonesian Armed Forces (TNI) in Jatinegara, East Jakarta.

"A witness heard four gunshots at the crime scene," Dedi said when asked for confirmation, Wednesday, December 26.

Dedi explained the shooting incident occurred at 23:00 Western Indonesian Time (WIB), on Jalan Santa Maria, Jatinegara, East Jakarta. From this incident, one TNI member, Lt. Col. Dono Kuspriyanto was found dead in his car.

The shooting was committed by an unknown person who immediately fled. One unit of motorcycle allegedly belonged to the perpetrator was left at the crime scene.

From Tempo`s observation at the shooting site against TNI member, there were four points where the projectiles found on the Transjakarta lane in front of the Santa Maria School Jatinegara. Police patrol cars were seen crossing the scene several times.
